Calvin James “Jim” Otto

Calvin James “Jim” Otto, 68, of Dayton passed away September 10, 2018. He was born August 26, 1950 in Dayton, Texas to parents John Clifford Otto, Sr. and Susan Forest Otto.

Service for Jim will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. until service time in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Larry Harris, Alan Conner, Mike George, Ken George, Robert Seaberg, and Thomas Smith.

Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Dayton. He was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1968 and attended Texas A&M. Jim was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He retired from Peoples Building Supply where he worked for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Otto and his step-father, Robert Fendley. He leaves behind his mother, Sue Otto Fendley of Bryan; his siblings, John Otto and wife Nancy of Bryan, Susan Harris and husband Wayne of Bryan, Glen Otto of Spring, Danita Stovall and husband Bryan of Colleyville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
