Dorothy Jean West age 86 of Hull, Texas passed away September 22, 2018 in Hull, Texas. Dorothy was born Tucson, Arizona March 11, 1932 the daughter of the late Charles Lewis Bishop and Maggie Glotha Moser Bishop. Dorothy loved to spend time with her family and friends. She always was counted on to be there to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked for twenty years as a manager for Les Chapman helping to run his local convenience stores. She graduated from Falfurrias High School and was an active member of The Word Fellowship Church in Hull. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Charles R. West, brother David Bishop, and a great grandson Wade Allen Rives. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Fay West Fregia of Hull, David Lewis West and wife Kathy of College Station, Melvin C. West and wife Denise of Kilgore, and Maggie West of Pierre Part, LA., brothers Charles Bishop and wife Davalyn of Bay City, and Jerry Bishop and wife Bev of Excelsior Springs, MO. In addition she leaves ten grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday September 26, 2018 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral services to be held 2PM Thursday September 27, 2018 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Hardin Chapel Cemetery.
