Roy Lee Bowman

Roy Lee Bowman, 82, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018. He was born November 29, 1935 in Penelope, Texas to parents, Thomas Leroy Bowman and Viola Hall Bowman.

Visitation for Mr. Bowman will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Roy had lived in Dayton for the past 16 years and was formerly of Indonesia. He was definitely a people person, a part of the Tooley”s gang and will be remembered as the “Mayor of 321”.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wy Bowman, and daughter, Ethel Marie Bowman. He is survived by children, Dorothy Udernosky and husband C. G., Walter Bowman and wife Cheri, Joanna Terry and husband Lloyd, Terry Lee Bowman, Jeannie Thomas, Terry bowman, and Sela Hall and husband Marcus, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brother, Lecil Bowman and wife Pat; sister, Marcella “Mickie” Jones; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
