Charles Glen Huckabee

Charles Glen Huckabee, 82, of Moss Hill, died on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born April 9, 1936, in Shreveport, LA to Dutch and Jessie Rothwell Huckabee and lived in Moss Hill for the past 45 years and retired from pipefitting.

Charles was a gentleman who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Such as hunting, fishing, watching over his horses and making things in his wood shop. Most of all he loved nothing more than his beloved wife, Shirley, of 65 years and their family they created together.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Huckabee; and brothers, Vernon Huckabee, Crayton Huckabee, and Ed Huckabee.

Those left to cherish his memory are; loving wife of 65 years, Shirley Huckabee of Moss Hill; daughter, Cricket Ragan and husband Billy of Gary, TX; sons, Tommie Huckabee and wife Donetta of Moss Hill, and Dennis Huckabee and wife Karen of Booneville, AR; daughter-in-law, Becky Huckabee of Moss Hill; sister, Doris Miller of Florida; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of loving friends.

A memorial service will be held at his favorite fishing spot on Lake Murvaul in Carthage, TX at a later date.
