Thirty-five Dayton MCJROTC cadets competed for awards recently in Ponchatoula, La.

The Dayton Marine Corps Junior ROTC cadets recently traveled to Ponchatoula, La. to compete at the Drill Meet. DHS MCJROTC instructors CWO-3 Ron Tash and Sergeant Major Sam Lewis both were proud of their cadets.

They brought 35 cadets to the competition and brought home three different awards from a challenging field of competitors.  In first place was the Unarmed Regulation Drill team. The Female Color Guard brought home the third-place trophy while the Overall Unarmed Drill also placed third.
