The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that took place in the pre-dawn hours Thursday, Oct. 25, at Dollar General Store, 3625 FM 1008, in Kenefick.
“The lone burglary gained entry by breaking the front glass door out with a large rock. There was no loss reported at this time as the burglar was inside the store only one minute, as recorded by the store’s security cameras,” said LCSO Capt. Ken DeFoor in an emailed statement.
The security camera reportedly shows a white male wearing blue jeans, high-top boots with the pants legs tucked inside the boots, a medium blue “Ike” style jack and a light blue baseball cap with black lettering across the front and left side of the cap bill. He also was wearing a yellow and black bandanna over his face and dark-colored gloves.
“In addition, the suspect was carrying what appeared to be a gray-colored bag, but did not appear to have any stolen property in the bag when he left through the same broken glass area,” DeFoor said.
