Bobbie Jean Johnson

Bobbie Jean Johnson age 79 – passed away Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Magnolia Place in Liberty. Bobbie was born September 15, 1939 in Raywood, Texas the daughter of the late Willie Earl Johnson and Lena Raye McKinley Johnson. Bobbie was a devout Christian who enjoyed going to church. She loved to listen to music especially gospel and Elvis. In her early years she was a girl scout leader for her girls. Prior to her disability Bobbie worked for Yettie Kersting Hospital, Walmart, and various positions in retail. Bobbie was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1957 and went on to attend Lamar University. She was preceded in death by her father W.E. “Shorty” Johnson, her mother Lena Johnson, and her brothers Willie Ray Johnson and Jerry Benjamin Johnson. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Sandra Helken and her husband Gary of Montrose, Colorado, Marie Henson and her husband Karl of Dayton, Amanda Ihuit of Devers, a sister Janette Carrel of Spring, and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Johnson of Hardin. In addition, she leaves nine grandchildren Marcus Diaz, Andrew Martinez, Amy Vercher, Alicia Henson, Katie Dunn, Molly Helken, Bo Helken, Alex Ihuit, and Marichele Ihuit, as well as twelve great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Bobbie will be held at 11AM Saturday November 10, 2018 at Allison Funeral Service 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas with a visitation to be held one hour prior to the service.
