Geraldine “Jerry” Lavern Leonard

Geraldine “Jerry” Lavern Leonard, 93 of Huffman, Texas passed away peacefully on November 18, 2018 in Humble, Texas. She was born on October 29, 1925 in Houston, Texas to the parents of Hal Cook and Myrtis Chambers. Geraldine graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1944. After school she went on to marry the love of her life Cyril Leonard.

Geraldine enjoyed gardening in her garden, playing the game of bridge. She was strong-minded, determined, very religious, loving and helpful. She loved spending time with your grand children and great grandchildren.

Geraldine was preceded in death by you parents; her loving Husband of 66 years; sister Carol Herron; brother Bobby Herron.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her daughter Cheryl Schanen; son Tommy Leonard; grandchildren, Adam, Phillip, Gaby, Vetti and Citlai; great grandchild Lily. Geraldine will be loved and missed by all who loved and knew her.

Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at The First Baptist Church of Huffman. Interment to follow immediately after the service at Huffman Cemetery.

Services under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.
