Henry Mackon Placker

Henry Mackon Placker, Sr., age 77 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was born August 21, 1941 in Magnolia Community, Texas to parents Willie Mackon and Opal Lewis Placker who preceded him in death along with his wife, Margie Nell Placker; daughter, Lesa Placker Knowles; brother, Earl Placker; and sister, Mae Arcement.

Mr. Placker was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Henry proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as traveling and reading. Above all else he was a true family man who found his greatest pleasures in the time he spent with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Tina Placker Hunt and husband Michael, Kimila Placker McShan and husband Kevin; sons, Henry Mackon (Mickey) Placker, Jr., Ernest Clifton Placker and wife Becky, Timothy Wayne Placker and wife Stephanie; brother, LC Placker; grandchildren, Kelly Knowles Simmons and husband Davis, Nicole Placker Dickerson, Derek Knowles and wife Ashley, Emily Hunt Villarreal and husband Blake, Klint McShan, Colton Placker, Jared Hunt, Keri McShan Lilley and husband Casey, Ethan Placker, Shelby Placker and Noah Placker; great-grandchildren, Brett Dickerson, Madison Simmons, Dillon Simmons, Kaylee Knowles, Alexis Villarreal, Mykala Dickerson, Adalyn Villarreal and Riley Villarreal; other survivors, Dennis Knowles; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas officiated by Steve Vickery. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
