Semmes named Cleveland ISD Teacher of the Week

Scott Semmes, a teacher at Cleveland ISD’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), is the Cleveland ISD Teacher of the Week for the week ending Dec. 7. 

Semmes has a master’s degree and is currently working on his principal certification through Lamar University in Beaumont. 

“We are super excited about Mr. Semmes teaching here at CISD! Thank you for all you do for our students, staff and district,” said Cleveland ISD spokesperson Susan Ard. 

The Teacher of the Week award is sponsored by KORG-LP 95.3, Anderson Ford, El Burrito and Quick Lane Tire and Auto.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers.
