Myrtle Thelma Dore’

Myrtle Thelma Dore’, age 91 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, January 1, 2019. She was born October 25, 1927 in Gulfport, Mississippi to parents Sylvester and Aletha Johnson Woodcock who preceded her in death along with her husband, Steven Dore’; daughter, Mary Ramsay; those who raised her, Uncle Henry and Aunt Louvenia Bosarge; and brothers, Clarence Woodcock, Floyd Woodcock, Hubert Woodcock, Ed Woodcock, L.J. Woodcock, Vernon Woodcock, Harold Bosarge, and Bill Bosarge.

Myrtle loved working with the church and reading her bible. Her family would like to thank Cleveland Health Care for the care they gave her over the past several years.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn McMullen and husband John; sister, Mary Hopton; grandchildren, Jim Ramsay and wife Rita, Leslie Ramsay, Jade Foland and husband Michael, Steven McMullen, Calvin Ramsay and wife Sheena; great-grandchildren, James, Charles and Sarah Ramsay, Rachel Lowe, Tim and Steven Ramsay, Brianna Ramsay and Lakota Nation-Ramsay; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas officiated by Bro. Ernie Parker. Interment will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Plum Grove Assembly of God, P.O Box 1478 Splendora, Texas 77372.
