An overturned dump truck caused traffic delays on SH 321 in Tarkington Monday afternoon. According to Trooper Spencer Shaw, the crash was caused when a southbound vehicle pulled into the path of a northbound dump truck in front of Tarkington Special Utility District in the 19300 block of SH 321.

The dump truck driver swerved to miss the vehicle and lost control of his load of crushed concrete, which caused his vehicle to roll over.

The dump truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Cleveland Emergency Hospital for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.

Shaw said that hazmat personnel are cleaning up the roadway, as of 6:30 p.m. The cleanup is expected to cause some traffic delays, so drivers might want to take other routes in the meantime.
