James “Jim” David Hedley

James “Jim” David Hedley, 70, of Kenefick, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at home. He was born November 20, 1948 in Winter Haven, Florida to parents Robert James Hedley and Wilma Jo Brown Hedley.

Graveside service for Mr. Hedley will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. The funeral procession will leave Pace-Stancil at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday to go to the service at Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Jim was a longtime resident of Kenefick previously of Houston and Florida. He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam war. He was an avid mechanic and ham radio operator. Jim had worked as a truck driver.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Hedley. He is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Carol Rivers Hedley; children, Steven Fay and wife Karla and Michael Fay and wife Ramona; grandchildren, Levi Fay and wife Hannah, Cameron Fay, and Ryan Calp and wife Jana; great-grandchildren, Cadence and Kash; brothers, Phillip Hedley and wife Mary Ann, Ronnie Cossey and Jeff Cossey; sisters, Patty Frost and husband Carl, Debbie Manning and Kathy Lawrence; also numerous other family members and friends.
