Cleveland HS, Tarkington ISD placed on lockdown after alleged threats

Cleveland High School and Tarkington ISD schools went into lockdown mode Tuesday afternoon after they received a tip from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office of a possible threat to school safety.

The tip was relayed to both school districts Tuesday afternoon.

All students are safe and are being kept at the schools while law enforcement assesses the threat and tries to locate suspects.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating at this time and will keep the districts updated.
