Missing girl found in Cleveland

Elise Buchholz has been missing since Sunday, Dec. 15.

A Harris County girl missing since Dec. 15 was found safe in the Cleveland area on Wednesday, Dec. 18, according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Capt. Billy Knox.

Sometime around noon Wednesday, authorities went to a mobile home in an area just south of the Cleveland city limits and found Elise Buchholz, 13, hiding under the trailer house.

According to Knox, the teen is in good condition and now will go to Bridgehaven Children’s Advocacy Center in Dayton to be interviewed and reunited with her parents.

Knox said sheriff’s investigators are still interviewing people related to the case. One person of interest is a 26-year-old man who reportedly was acquainted with the teen. It is believed that the man lives near the location where the girl was found, Knox said.

This is a developing story. As soon as more information is available, an update will be posted.
