A Dayton High School teacher who was on administrative leave since April 19 while the District investigates allegations that he had inappropriate communications with a student has resigned from his position.
The allegations against the male teacher came to light on Wednesday, April 19.
Dr. Travis Young, a spokesperson for Dayton ISD, said the District is cooperating with law enforcement on the investigation.
“Dayton ISD’s number one priority is student and staff safety,” Young said.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article suggested the teacher had been terminated; however, his attorney, Glenn Williams, told Bluebonnet News that he has resigned.
