Katherene Mae Tolar

Katherene Mae Tolar, 91, of Daisetta passed away Thursday May 9, 2019 at Magnolia Place Healthcare in Liberty, Texas. Mrs. Tolar was born October 28, 1927 in Morrilton, Arkansas to her parents, William Harlen Greer and Callie Bell Hammond.

Service for Mrs. Tolar will be 2:00 p.m., Monday May 13, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, Texas, Brother Leslie Gaines officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Tolar will be Sunday May 12, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Guidry Cemetery in Batson, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jerimey Flowers, Jim Tolar, Devyn Hill, Dennis Hill, Seth Hill, Kayden Flowers, Jonah Romero and Everitt Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Wyatt Flowers and Corbin Tolar.

Katherene worked in the school cafeteria at Corrigan ISD for several years. She was a housewife and enjoyed the time with her children and grandchildren. Katherene was a member of Central Baptist Church in Daisetta.

Mrs. Tolar was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Charlie “J.C.” Tolar; son-in-law, Melvin Flowers; granddaughter, Ruby Katherine Flowers; great granddaughter, Layla Rose Tolar and great grandson, Malachi Tolar.

Katherene is survived by her son, James Tolar and wife, Charlotte; daughters, Betty Flowers, Bobbie Flowers and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Deana Flowers, Melinda Hill, Amanda Romero and husband, Jonah, Jerimey Flowers, Jim Tolar and wife, Mandy; great grandchildren, Devyn Hill, Dennis Hill, Seth Hill, Hannah Flowers, Kasidy Hill, Kayden Flowers, Harley Tolar, Phoenix Tolar, Wyatt Flowers, Gracie Tolar and Corbin Tolar; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
