Robert Lee “Bob” Starkey

Robert Lee “Bob” Starkey, 60 of Dayton passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at home in Dayton. Bob was born January 10, 1959 in Norwalk, Ohio to parents Robert Ray Starkey and Thelma Jean Roberts Starkey.

Services for Bob will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Pace-Stancil in Dayton.

Bob had lived in Dayton for the past 13 years after moving from Crosby. He owned the Oaks in Dayton and enjoyed barbequing, playing pool and always enjoyed having a good time. Bob had an affinity for all vehicles. He was a true “river rat” and loved to fish. He was a very giving person that will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ray Starkey. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sarah Riggs of Dayton; his mother, Thelma Starkey; children, Stacey Newland, Bobby Starkey, Michael Starkey, Daniel Starkey, Jill Centile, and Dustin Starkey; siblings, Jeff Starkey, Ray Starkey, Kevin Starkey, Dorothy Farley and Erma Jones; several grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
