Floyd Thomas Benton

Floyd Thomas Benton, 67, lifelong resident of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2019, at his home. He was born on December 31, 1951, in Dayton, Texas to the late Clifford E. and Betty Jane Flowers Benton. Floyd graduated in 1972 from Sterling High School in Baytown.

Floyd enjoyed tinkering with just about anything, which made his job as a TV repairman come easy. He was talented at fixing old and new televisions. Floyd never met a stranger and he made friends easily. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Wesley Benton. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother Arthur Benton of Dayton; his sister Charlene Bond of Sevierville, Tennessee; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

There are no services scheduled at this time for Floyd. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come as they process their grief.
