LPD: Body found in Liberty, no foul play expected

The body of a man was found Thursday evening at a property between US 90 and Dr. Martin Luther King St., at Oklahoma St. in Liberty.

According to Lt. Chip Fairchild, spokesperson for Liberty Police Department, police do not believe foul play contributed to the man’s death.

Fairchild said the body will likely be taken to Beaumont for autopsy, where a cause of death may be determined.

No other information is available at this time. Updates will be posted as warranted and if new information becomes available.
