Jo Ann Shannon

Jo Ann Shannon, 86, of Hardin, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Shannon was born March 3, 1933, in Port Lavaca, TX to the late Clarence Theodore Fellers and Nora Mae Mayfield-Fellers. Mrs. Shannon was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who loved to read, when she could, create beautiful quilts, and loved to go play the slot machines.

Mrs. Shannon is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Shannon; son, Michael D. Shannon; daughter, Carol Sue Buchanan; brothers, Clarence T. Fellers Jr, and James Roy Fellers; and sisters, Clarice O. Woody, Wanda June Ballard, and Helen Marie Fellers.

Those left to cherish her memory are, sons, Sam D. Shannon and wife Lynda of Hardin, and Douglas Kirby of Kerrville, TX; daughters, Debbie Manchaca and husband John of Hardin, and Janice Kupec of Round Rock, TX; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.

A service of remembrance will be Sunday, October 20, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Chaplain Robert “Scooter” Wenner officiating, cremation will follow. A gathering of Mrs. Shannon’s family and friends will also be Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Faith & Family Funeral Services.
