Kim Marie Corder

Kim Marie Corder, 57, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, in Conroe, Texas. She was born on February 20, 1962, in Pasadena, Texas to Jo Ann Shearer and Bobby D. Corder.

Kim was a nurturer, very outgoing and social who had countless friends from all over the world. She met many of her friends during the time that her husband worked on the pipeline. Kim was an amazing cook who enjoyed nothing more than serving others. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren. Kim adored her grandbabies and was the ultimate protector of her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Dawn for the loving care she had given Kim during her illness. For our pastors, Kent and Penny Brown who was there for our every need, from keeping our babies for days at a time, to comforting our family during Kim’s death. And to Carl Capuano who passed away shortly before Kim, for being so good to her and her daughter Kala.

Kim was preceded in death by her husbands Dennis Lee and Carl Capuano; her brothers Robert Corder and Michael Corder; her grandmother RV Steele; her uncle Pete Corder; and her aunt Shirley Tippitt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents Bobby and Shirley Corder; her daughters Kala Lee, Angela Lee and husband Stephen Roddam; her granddaughters Olivia Hart, Raelynn Roddam and Alexis Roddam; her cousins Dawn Kingcaid and Virginia Self; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 5pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street in Dayton, with Pastor Kent Brown officiating.
