The City of Dayton got a jump on Halloween on Oct. 26 by hosting the third annual Dayton Treat Street. Held in The Commons in downtown Dayton, the event welcomed hundreds of children this year.

Organizers say that the event is growing in popularity and attendance each year, and are looking at ways to increase the event next year.

Roughly 20 businesses, churches and organizations hosted booths that offered candy and prizes to trick-or-treating children.
