Velma Griffith

Velma Griffith, age 85 of Conroe, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019. She was born March 17, 1934 in Quitman, Mississippi to parents Ruel and Lula Mae Hall West who preceded her in death along with her husband, Earl Griffith; and daughter, Velma Smith.

She is survived by daughters, Anna Jackson and husband Stanley, and Elnoria Hicks Becky; sons, James Stacey and wife Brenda, Edward Griffith and Martha, and Donald Griffith and wife Debbie; sister, Vera Hollingshead and husband R.P.; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas officiated by Bro. Ronnie Crankshaw. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
