Veda “Glynn” Rains

Veda “Glynn” Rains, 84, of Dayton passed away Monday, December 23, 2019. She was born June 25, 1935 in Dayton, Texas to parents, Chester Keck and Hattie Spraker Keck.

Graveside for Glynn will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Linney Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Visitation will be 12:30 noon until 1:30 before the funeral at 2:00 p.m.

Glynn was a lifelong resident of Dayton and was a graduate of Dayton High School in 1953. She retired from Southern Pacific where she worked as a clerk. Glynn attended Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her flowers and taking care of her yard. She loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed her time visiting and caring for them.

Glynn was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Dean Keck, John Keck and sister, Carol Hamilton. She is survived by sons, Dean Griffitts of Dayton and Patrick Keck of Cisco, Texas; daughter, Kim Fenner of Dayton; sister, Ruth Gillen of Tarkington Prairie; grandchildren, Jacob Bederka and wife Emily, Derek Fenner, Sarah Dougherty and husband Daniel, and Jessica Ramirez; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
