‘Suspicious persons’ call leads to narcotics, fraud arrests

Two people were arrested at the Academy store in New Caney on Wednesday, Feb. 7, by mounted patrol deputies with the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office. The deputies were the first to respond to a call regarding suspicious persons at the store.

When they arrived, they reportedly encountered a male and female exhibiting signs of severe intoxication.

The male, identified as 32-year-old Trevor Allen Gernon, was detained due to an active “Blue Warrant” related to dangerous drugs charge out of Harris County. Gernon reportedly told the deputies that his level of intoxication was due to consuming heroin, methamphetamine, and Xanax. Accompanying him was 26-year-old Dana Nicole Foe of Spring, Texas, who reportedly was also found to be impaired.

A search initiated by Deputy K9 “Joker” led to the discovery of a concealed methamphetamine stash within a modified bottle in Gernon’s vehicle. Further investigation reportedly uncovered heroin, Xanax, drug paraphernalia, multiple Texas driver’s licenses, credit cards, and checks, none of which belonged to Gernon. He faces charges including the Pardon and Parole warrant, possession of controlled substances, and multiple counts of possession of identifying information.

The investigation extended to Foe’s vehicle, where Deputy K9 “Joker” once again alerted, resulting in deputies allegedly locating Xanax and cocaine. Foe has been charged with two counts of felony Possession of Controlled Substances.

As the Pct. 4 Criminal Investigation Division continues its diligent work to reach out to the victims of the stolen identities, further charges are anticipated.

Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden commended the efforts of his deputies saying, “Our deputies’ prompt response in this case reflects the very core of our mission to protect and serve with unwavering professionalism and compassion. Their diligence not only removed dangerous substances from our community but also prevented further fraudulent activities. We are committed to maintaining the safety and security of New Caney, demonstrating that our dedication to justice is relentless.”
