Liberty MS math and science students compete at Regional Qualifier

The Liberty Middle School Math and Science Team traveled to Sugarland on Saturday, March 2, to competed in the Fort Settlement Regional TMSCA Qualifier. The students place seventh from among 13 competing teams.

The team ranked seventh in Number Sense, 10th in Calculator, eighth in General Math and third in Science, according to their coaches Elisha Lemelle and Malissa Phillips.

Twenty-five members earned a place to compete at the University of Texas-San Antonio State Meet this April.

Lemelle and Phillips expressed their pride in the team’s hard work and dedication, which allowed so many students to perform well at the event.
