Man facing child sex case in Polk County arrested at homeless camp in New Caney

Strength, Jody

In an operation led by Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s team, deputies successfully located an alleged child predator hiding within a homeless camp situated behind the Planet Fitness in New Caney, Texas.

The individual, identified as 33-year-old Jody Strength from Harris County, was discovered through an investigation and records checks, which revealed an active felony warrant for Indecency with a Child/Sexual Contact issued out of Polk County, Texas.

Although Strength was not present at the camp during the deputies’ initial search, their efforts paid off when he was found a few blocks away, riding his bicycle.

Constable Hayden is pleased to announce that Jody Strength is now in custody, held at the Montgomery County Jail, awaiting transfer to Polk County to face his charges.

Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden emphasized the significance of community vigilance and the potential dangers associated with homeless camps.

“This incident sheds light on the hidden dangers within our community, particularly in unsupervised areas like homeless camps. It’s a reminder that such environments can unfortunately serve as havens for individuals seeking to evade law enforcement, including child predators. Our office remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our residents, business owners and visitors through proactive law enforcement and community engagement. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or locations to our office,” Hayden said.

The Constable’s Office requests the public’s assistance in identifying other homeless camps in the area. Concerns or tips can be submitted through the official website: www.mocopct4.org/contact.

  1. I’m surprised Haden took the time to get off hwy 59 playing state trooper to get that dude. Our neighborhoods would be a lot safer if he would just concentrate on them instead of hwy 59, but I guess the money is on the highway.
