New Caney man arrested after allegedly hiding from authorities in attic

Reece McClure is apprehended from a property in New Caney by the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable's Office and Splendora Police Department.

Deputies from the office of Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden achieved a significant victory on March 14, 2024, as they successfully carried out a felony warrant operation in the 25000 block of Peach Dr., New Caney, Texas.

The operation’s primary target was Reece McClure, a 22-year-old resident with multiple outstanding felony warrants against him, including charges for theft of property, credit card/debit card abuse, and parole violations related to the unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Intelligence reports indicated that McClure was considered to be “armed and dangerous,” and was suspected to be hiding at a local residence. This prompted a high degree of caution, leading to the deployment of the Precinct 4 Drone Team and drone support from the Splendora Police Department to provide aerial surveillance of the area.

Despite attempts to call out McClure using a loudspeaker, the situation ultimately required the activation of the Precinct 4 Special Response Team (SRT).

The SRT Team’s action resulted in McClure’s arrest without incident, as they successfully located him reportedly hiding within the attic space of the property.

Constable Hayden expressed his gratitude for the remarkable effectiveness displayed by his deputies, emphasizing their role in safely apprehending a dangerous felon. Additionally, he extended his appreciation to the Splendora Police Department for their invaluable assistance with drone support during the operation.

    • Are you saying that the law doesn’t apply to white males? That this white male person should be able to do what ever he wants without repercussions?

  1. 1. 22 is not a little boy. That’s part of what is wrong with society, people enabling others that need to grow up and be held accountable. 2. White, black, or Hispanic race doesn’t matter…if you break the law you should be held accountable….this includes illegal immigrants here unlawfully, as well as citizens who break US laws. Like it or not, US citizens can’t just walk into Italy and take it over and not follow proper procedure no matter what color they are! Stop making everything about race, and stop thinking that it’s okay to not hold a known felon accountable. 22 years old =a grown man!
