Austin Bank – Cleveland branch welcomes new VP

Weldon Whitt has joined Austin Bank as Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender in the Cleveland office.

“We are proud to have Weldon associated with Austin Bank,” commented Austin Bank Chairman Jeff Austin III.  “His experience and leadership will help to serve our Cleveland area customers and the Austin Bank team.”

Whitt brings with him over 21 years of banking experience along with four years’ experience as a consultant for a large business networking group.  He comes to Austin Bank from Plains State Bank in Conroe where he served as Vice President and met customer lending needs. 

Prior to Plains State Bank, Whitt worked for Tradition Bank in the Woodlands for nine years as a lending officer and at First National Bank Texas in Conroe for 18 months as an assistant branch manager.

Whitt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.  He and his wife, Misti, reside in Montgomery and have one son.  Active in his community, Whitt is a member of the Montgomery County Fair BBQ Cook-off Committee and serves as leader and head cook for the men’s ministry at Lone Star Cowboy Church.
