Sandra Faye Berry, affectionately known as Sandy, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Dayton, Texas on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born on May 30, 1949, in Baytown, Texas, to the late Johnny Kervin and Bertha Raymer, Sandy lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Sandy had a deep love for the outdoors, spending many happy hours gardening, hunting, and fishing. She was also an artist at heart, creating beautiful floral and fruit arrangements that brought joy to those around her. Known for her sharp shooting skills, Sandy was as funny as she was friendly, with a compassion that knew no bounds. Her social nature and caring spirit made her a beloved member of the community. Above all, Sandy absolutely cherished her children and grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Kervin and Bertha Raymer; her beloved husband, Charles Ray Berry; her daughter, Rebecca Byrd; her sisters, Mabel Williams, Johnnie Wiegman, and Betty Walters; and her brother, Marvin Kervin.
Sandy is survived by her son, Johnny Berry, and his wife Jordan; her daughters, Theresa Carrow and her husband Norman, and Rhonda Cameron and her husband Marvin; her sister, Jo Sanders; her grandchildren Sarah, Matt, Nick, Emily, Kristina, Brandon, JP, Corey, Korey, Jordan, Hope, Samantha, and Luke; her numerous loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sandy’s life with visitation on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Sterling Funeral Home Chapel, located at 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas 77535. Graveside services will follow at Palms Memorial Park.
Sandy’s warmth, humor, and boundless love will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
