Donna Jean Hall, age 86, of Moss Hill, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on October 5, 1937, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Charles William “Buck” Norris and Nell Viola Jones Norris Mayberry, Donna, who lived a life of love, dedication, and faith.
From a young age, Donna had a clear vision for her life: she aspired to marry, be a devoted wife, and be a loving mother to a large family. Her dream came true on April 10, 1953, when she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hall. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Vicki and Jewell. Donna took immense pride in her children’s accomplishments, instilling in them strong values and the importance of family.
Donna’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She was beloved by all and known for her nurturing spirit. In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, Donna enjoyed working outside the home when she needed new challenges. She sold car insurance and found great joy in managing the outer areas and cash registers at a pharmacy in Arizona—a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
Her love and support for her husband, Bob, were unwavering. Donna enjoyed participating in whatever activities Bob wanted to do, and she was also known for her crafty nature, constantly creating and engaging in new projects. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her active membership at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Liberty, where she found strength and community. She also had an adventurous side that many people did not know about. In her early 70s, she rode on a Harley with one of their friends from the gun show they promoted. A few years later, she went for a jet-ski ride with her grandson even though she could not swim.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 59 years, Bob Hall; her siblings, Nila Beatrice “Bea” McQuay and Harold Loyd Norris; and her favorite sister, Geraldine “Jerri” Santos. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Vicki H. Doty of Moss Hill and Jewell Hall and wife JoAnne of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; her grandchildren Robert “Bobby” Hall, Jewell “J.L.” Hall, Jr. and wife Kaisa, Kristin Hall, John Doty, and wife Cindy, Michael Doty, and Robert P. Doty and wife Rayne; her great-grandchildren Colten and Beckler Hall, Hannah, Paige, Jacob, Rayven, Raine, and Robert Lee Doty; her siblings Woodie Norris and Ronnie Norris; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A graveside service and committal will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, in the Liberty Catholic Cemetery, with Fr. Bart Jasilek as the celebrant.

Donna Jean Hall will be deeply missed, but her loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
