Cleveland man missing, search continues Monday

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with Texas EquuSearch, is actively searching for Ralph Dewayne Campbell, a 65-year-old resident of the 16100 block of SH 321 in Cleveland.

Campbell was reported missing on Aug. 1, 2024, near his residence.

Search efforts were conducted on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, but were paused around 7 p.m. The search is set to resume on Monday morning, Aug. 5, 2024.

Authorities are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Campbell, who may be in need of medical attention.

Campbell is described as 5-foot, 11-inches tall. He has partially gray hair and was last seen wearing camouflage shorts, denim shirt with cut-off sleeves, and brown flip flops.

Campbell was last observed walking in a ditch near the front of his residence. He was recently released from the hospital and suffers from serious medical issues, making the search efforts all the more urgent.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding Campbell’s whereabouts to contact the Criminal Investigation Division immediately at 936-336-4500.
