This Saturday, Aug, 10, 2024, Dayton ISD will host its annual Back to School Bash. The event will take place at the Support Service Center in Dayton, located at 702 South Cleveland, on the old SFA campus.
It is a come-and-go event scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is open to all students from pre-K through 12th grade.
This event aims to prepare students and families for the upcoming school year by providing essential resources and services. Free school supplies will be distributed to students on a first-come, first-served basis, thanks to generous donations from Journey Fellowship and Harris County Precinct #3.
The Dayton ISD Child Nutrition Department will be present to assist families with Free and Reduced Lunch Applications, ensuring that every student has access to nutritious meals throughout the school year. Additionally, the Transportation Department will host a “Meet the Bus Driver” session, giving parents the opportunity to sign their children up for transportation services and meet the drivers who will be taking them to and from school.
Smiles Dental will return to the event to provide valuable dental health information, helping families maintain good oral hygiene. The Chambers Health Mobile Clinic will also be on-site, offering immunizations to ensure that all students are up-to-date on their vaccines before the school year begins.
A special thanks goes to Adorn Salon, whose team will be on-site offering free haircuts to help students start the school year with confidence.
The Back to School Bash is a fantastic opportunity for families to access vital resources and connect with the Dayton ISD community.
“Please come out and join us for Dayton ISD’s Back to School Bash!” said Superintendent Jessica Johnson.
