Jean Ann Rogers was born in Tomball, Texas, on Nov. 10, 1936. She entered Heavens Gate’s on Aug. 21, 2024, at the age of 87. Jean was devoted to her church and to her Lord. She loved to cook and enjoyed feeding others. Jean also had a passion for collecting kerosene lanterns. Her greatest love was for her family, especially doting on her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Guy J. Rogers; mother, Gertrude Gilland; son, Rex D. Yoakum; brother, John Disman; sisters, Wynona Kryzenski and Marie Kirk. She is survived by her sons, Larry Yoakum and wife Lisa, James Yoakum and wife Shari, and Phillip Rogers and wife Caren; sister-in-law, Sue DeMoss; grandchildren, James David Yoakum, David Wayne Yoakum, Jason Yoakum, Andrew Rogers, Brandon Yoakum, Eric Morris, and Jake Rogers; great-grandchildren, Eli Yoakum and Grayson Rogers.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, from 5-7 pm. Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am with Pastor Wyatt Mericle officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be, Brandon Yoakum, Andrew Rogers, David Wayne Yoakum, Jason Yoakum, Eric Morris, James David Yoakum, Bobby Ferrell, and Jeff Moore.
