Kenneth Wayne Delana, Sr.

Kenneth Wayne Delana, Sr. was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Harrah, Okla., to parents, Elige Noah Delana and Ada Gertrude Nation Delana. He passed away in Cleveland, Texas, on Sept. 11, 2024, at the age of 94. 

Kenneth served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Houston Metro where he was a bus driver for 36 years. Kenneth loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and he had a strong affection for dogs. He loved listening to Old Gospel Music and Country Western Music. Kenneth was always around a television when the Wheel of Fortune was on. He loved his family and will greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Elige and Ada Delana; wife Luada Delana; son, Kenneth Wayne Delana, Jr.; and brother, Harold Delana. He is survived by his daughter, Rita Smith and husband Eddie Smith; grandson, Ken Smith; great-grandchildren, Axl Smith and Cash Edward Smith. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating.
