Wanted fugitive captured for game room robbery in Cleveland

Jose Alejandro Cisneros

Jose Alejandro Cisneros, 32, of Cleveland, was taken into custody on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, after Cleveland Police Department officers executed a felony warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated robbery. The arrest occurred at approximately 2:42 p.m. when several officers went to Cisneros’ residence in the 300 block of Margie Street.

Upon arrival, officers knocked on the door, and Cisneros answered. As officers attempted to take him into custody, Cisneros reportedly began to physically resist, engaging in a struggle with the officers. In order to subdue him, officers deployed a taser before successfully handcuffing him.

Cisneros was transported to the Cleveland Police Department Jail and formally charged with Resisting Arrest and Search, a Class A misdemeanor, and served with the felony warrant for Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony.

The warrant stemmed from an armed robbery on June 3, 2024, at the Lucky 101 game room on Belcher Street in Cleveland. During the robbery, Cisneros allegedly assaulted the game room attendant and held what was believed to be a gun to the attendant’s head, forcing them to hand over money before fleeing the scene. Several witnesses inside the game room reportedly ran out the front door in fear for their lives, and the suspect was seen entering a truck and speeding away.

Cleveland Police Department detectives conducted a thorough investigation into the case, which led to the issuance of the arrest warrant by Municipal Court Judge Lynn Allen.

At the time of this report, Cisneros is being held in the Liberty County Jail with bond set at $100,000 for the aggravated robbery charge and $10,000 for resisting arrest.

Cleveland Police Chief Broussard praised the work of the officers and detectives involved, stating they did an “exceptional job” tracking down and capturing this violent fugitive.
