
Looking for some Halloween fun or festive fall activities? Whether you’re into spooky thrills or prefer a more family-friendly fall celebration, there are plenty of events happening right here in the area. From haunted houses and trick-or-treating to pumpkin patches and harvest festivals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this season.
If Halloween isn’t your thing, don’t worry—local fall festivals are offering hayrides, live music, and seasonal treats to help you celebrate the crisp autumn weather. Nearly all of the events listed are free admission. Check the listing for more details.

- Hardin High School Drama Club presents a haunted movie night with Hocus Pocus at 6 p.m. and Scream at 8 p.m. in the Hardin High School auditorium. Concessions will be available.
Oct. 25, 2024
- Pine Burr Elementary PTO: Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 7054 CR 3540, Cleveland. This book-themed trunk or treat will offer amazing treats and prizes for children.
- Lone Star College-Kingwood: Boo-Fest from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at the SCC Atrium. This free, family-friendly event includes costumes, candy, and more. There will also be a free showing of Hotel Transylvania from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the SCC Conference Room.
- Hull-Daisetta ISD: HD Haunted Halls at 117 Main St., Daisetta, from 8 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 25-26. Admission is $10. Movies under the stars will also be shown on the football field both nights.
- Faux Real Trade Days at TVE Fairgrounds, 321 FM 563, Liberty, is hosting a Halloween costume contest and car show from Oct. 25-27. The event is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Trick-or-treat with hundreds of vendors and enter the costume contest for a chance to win a $300 Faux Real Trade Days shopping spree. - Christian Faith Tabernacle: Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. at 12550 FM 787, Cleveland. The event includes candy, a dunking booth, a bouncy house, bumper balls, coffee, and more.
- First Baptist Church of Liberty: Fall carnival from 5 to 7 p.m. at 602 Main St., Liberty. Enjoy games, food, music, a pumpkin patch, and a bounce house.
- Liberty High School Theater presents The Gravedigger at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the Liberty ISD Auditorium. Trunk or treat follows each show with popcorn and drinks. Admission is $10.
- Hull-Daisetta ISD: HD Haunted Halls continues from 8 p.m. to midnight at 117 Main St., Daisetta. Admission is $10.

- Bear Creek Baptist Church: Fall Family Fun Fest from 5 to 7 p.m. at 10001 FM 1725, Cleveland. The event features games, prizes, snacks, and more.
- Calvary Baptist Church: Fall festival from 2 to 5 p.m. at 15 CR 129, Liberty. Free admission, free food (hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, caramel apples, and candy), games, face painting, and a train ride.
- Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland: Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. at 816 N. Blair Ave., Cleveland. Enjoy candy, a bounce house, a dunk tank, food, popcorn, and more at this free event.
- Rural Shade Baptist Church: Fall festival from 4 to 7 p.m. at 3304 CR 2274, Cleveland (Tarkington). The event will feature inflatables, games, free hot dogs, and candy. Food vendors, a coffee truck, and snow cones will be available. The Tarkington BETA Club will be selling drinks. A pumpkin patch will be open for photos and pumpkin purchases.
- Grace Church: Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 1935 N. Hwy 146, Liberty.
- Pentecostal Tabernacle: Trunk or Treat from 4:30 p.m. until dark at 2776 FM 2830 N, Liberty. The event includes candy, treats, games, and a hayride.
- CPC Medical Plaza: Halloween festival from 6 to 8 p.m. at 203 N. College Ave., Cleveland.
- Lifepoint Church: Fall festival from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church parking lot at 505 Utah St., Daisetta. Enjoy a bounce house, free food, game booths, fresh popcorn, cotton candy, a cookie walk, and more.
- SETX Crawlers and Jeeps: Trunk or Treat from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Subway in Dayton, 101 S. Prairie St. This event includes a petting zoo, games, face painting, an obstacle course, a Jeep decoration contest, and candy.
- McCoys Building Supply: Kid-friendly Trunk or Treat from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 810 S. Highway 146, Dayton. Enjoy treats, a costume contest, food trucks, and a photo booth. To host a trunk, contact Jacquelynn, Ernie, Katrina, or Angel at the store at 936-367-7777.
- JLA Realty: Annual Trunk-or-Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. along Church St. in downtown Dayton.
- Caney Creek Cowboy Church: Fall festival and car, truck, Jeep, and bike show from 2 to 8 p.m. at 17703 Nonesuch Rd., Conroe. This free event includes Trunk or Treat in the arena, a bounce house, and a petting zoo. At 6 p.m., there will be a live music concert, with car show awards announced at 5 p.m.
- Saratoga Fire Station: A trunk or treat will be held at the fire station between 5 and 8 p.m. Bring the kids for an evening of games, fun, food and candy. Free hotdogs, free popcorn and a kids costume contest.

The event includes candy, games, face painting, a petting zoo, inflatables, train rides, and more. Entry fee is $5, with donations encouraged to support student council events.

- First Baptist Church of Anahuac: Light the Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 405 Magnolia Ave., Anahuac. The event features Trunk or Treat, a hayride, a bounce house, a mini pumpkin patch, a cake walk, food, treats, and more.
- Moss Hill United Pentecostal Church: Fall festival from 7 to 9 p.m. at SH 105, Moss Hill, just east of the SH 146 intersection. The event includes a chili cook-off, cake walk, pumpkin decorating, hayride, fire pit, and more.
- North Main Baptist Church: Fall festival from 6 to 8 p.m. at 4709 N. Main St., Liberty. This family-friendly event features games, a cake walk, food, and a hayride.
- First Baptist Church of Romayor: Glow With God from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event includes a hayride, s’mores, candy, pumpkin decorating, and glowstick fun. Dress in neon brights, flashy lights, or white clothing to show how bright you shine for the Lord.

- Treat Street in Cleveland: 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cleveland Civic Center, 210 Peach Ave. The event will feature free candy, music, and contests. Children 12 and under can participate in a costume contest, and there will be a Thriller dance competition with a $50 gift card prize provided by Bluebonnet News.
- Oak Shade Baptist Church: Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 1807 CR 2212, Tarkington.
- Livingston First Assembly of God Church: Hallelujah Harvest from 5:30 p.m. at 2025 N. Houston Ave., Livingston. This free event includes candy, soda, games, and hot dogs.
- Votaw-Thicket Fire Department: Trick or Trunk from 6 to 8 p.m. at 27919 FM 787, Thicket. The event will feature booths handing out candy, games, prizes, food, and family fun.
- VFW Auxiliary 5621: Haunted house and Trick or Trunk starting at 6 p.m. in Liberty.
- Mt. Rose Church: Fall festival from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 13000 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Crosby. Attractions include a mechanical bull, crossfire basketball, barnyard, rock wall, bounce house, maze, and hayride. Free popcorn and cotton candy will be available, and vendors will offer food and products for purchase.
- M&D Supply (Ace Hardware): Trunk or Treat from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the corner of Houston and Washington streets in Cleveland.
- Eminence Baptist Church and Wallisville VFD: Truck or Treat from 7 to 9 p.m. at 546 Number 9 Rd., Wallisville. Meet firefighters, tour the fire station, take pictures, and get candy.
- Journey Fellowship Church: Community Wide Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dayton Community Center parking lot, 801 S. Cleveland St. Food trucks will also be available.
- Brighter Days Assisted Living: Residents will be passing out candy to trick-or-treaters from 6 to 7 p.m. in Dayton.
- First Baptist Church of Devers: Fall Festival starting at 5:30 p.m. at 106 Ave. A, Devers. Food, games, and prizes will be offered, followed by a hayride at 6:45 p.m.
- 7-Eleven, Liberty: Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. at 2130 SH 146, Liberty. To sign up, call 936-336-4004.
- First Baptist Church of Batson: Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the crossroads in Batson. This free event will include food, fun, and fellowship.
- Turner Cycles: Third Annual Trick or Treat starting at 6 p.m. at 735 CR 2286, Tarkington. Candy, games, hot dogs, face painting, and a bounce house will be part of the event.
- The Family Church: Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. A mechanical bull, chili cook-off and hot dogs will be available at this free event.
Nov. 2, 2024
- The Dwelling: Harvest Fest from 4 to 8 p.m. at 2525 Grand Ave., Liberty. The event will feature a makers market, live music, outdoor fun, kids’ crafts, and food trucks.
