JoAnn Lee, 88, passed away in Madisonville, Texas, on Oct. 27, 2024. JoAnn was born to parents Claude Stone and Maude Turner Stone on Nov. 7, 1935, in Kirbyville, Texas. For many years, JoAnn was a devoted homemaker, who truly cared about creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. She will be remembered for her easy-going nature, and as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freeman Lee; parents, Claude and Maude Stone; brothers, William Stone, Norman Stone; sons-in-law, Leroy Horton, Rusty A. Tejcek.
She is survived by her children, Michael Lee and wife Leslie, Lisa McDermott and husband John, Pamela Horton; grandchildren, Dustin Tejcek and wife Ashlie , Brandey Porter and husband Chad, Paul Sekulich, Joshua Aarons, Tiffany Horne and husband Michael, Landri Lee; great-grandchildren, Blain Tejcek, Cole Tejcek, Emberlynn Tejcek, Drake Geiger, Avery Porter, Elle Porter, Finley Porter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation for JoAnn will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, from 10 am – 11 am in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am on Friday, November 1st in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas, with Brother Carl Williamson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Davis Cemetery in Kirbyville, Texas. Pallbearers for the service include Dustin Tejcek, Blain Tejcek, Drake Geiger, Chad Porter, Gary Stone, Wesley Hoglund.
