Rhonda Renee Mainor, 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Liberty, Texas, on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 15, 1962, in Baytown, Texas, to the late George Lovell Johnson and Patsy Nell Cunningham Johnson. She was a spirited, lively woman—a true firecracker, known for her strong will, big heart, and infectious humor.
Rhonda had a deep love for the outdoors and hardly ever stayed inside. She was always on the move, whether tending to her yard or even mowing her daughter’s lawn whenever she could. Her love for cooking, fishing, camping, and spending time at the beach matched her enthusiasm for life. Known for her playful sense of humor and strong-willed nature, Rhonda was both a “chief in charge” and a “smarty pants,” always ready with a witty comeback. Her warmth, humor, and vibrant personality made her the life of every gathering, and her resilience inspired those around her.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, David Mainor; her sister, Stacy Hawks; and her brother, Dickie Johnson.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Eddie Mainor of Liberty, Texas; her daughter, Tiffany Ramer, and her husband, Joe, of Liberty, Texas; her grandson, Drayden Peeler of Daisetta, Texas; her brother, Dwayne Johnson of Liberty, Texas; her sister, Angela Vaughn, and her husband, Damien Constance, of San Angelo, Texas, and a host of other loving friends and relatives. Rhonda’s family, friends, and loved ones will miss her dearly and cherish the countless joyful memories she leaves behind.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Allison’s Funeral Service, located at 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas, 77575. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. Phil Baragas officiating.
