She was born on Feb. 6, 1960, in Houston, Texas, to the late Robert James and Dora Mae Cason Davis (Tompkins). Connie attended West Hardin High School in Saratoga, Texas, where she made lifelong friends and lasting memories.

Connie was a spirited and strong-willed individual—an actual spitfire who lived life with fierce independence. She was selfless to her core, known for her generous heart and the kindness she showed to all. Connie was always there for others, ready to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She deeply loved her family, especially her beloved partner, Mike, who was her steadfast companion.

An avid collector of lighthouses, Connie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved canning, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and caring for her plants. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and took immense pride in her family.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughters Kera Gore and Charli Rae Gore; and her sister Betty Lynn Harwell. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Mike Williams; her children, Candy Gore and husband Charles of Sour Lake, and Cody “Bear” Durham and wife Sarina of Batson; her grandchildren, Cody Gore, Cheyenne Neely and husband Joshua, Tristan Bell, Alexis Whittlesey, Robin Williams, Ryan Williams and wife Chelsea; her great-grandchildren Alton, Lyndon, Bryxton, Quinlyn, and one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy Davis and wife Kathryn of Cypress, Susan Martin and husband Travis of Houston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service and committal will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas, with Brother Bill Campbell officiating.

Connie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and her legacy of kindness and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
