Radoh Paul Perry Sr., a beloved father and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, 2024, with his son Ryan by his side after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Anahuac, Texas, to Paul LaVere and Mary Ellen Smith Perry, Paul was the youngest son in a family of eight children.
Paul graduated from Belle Chase High School in 1965, where he excelled in both football and basketball. His passion for sports led him to play football at Lamar Tech in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Colley. Together, they had two children: Radoh Paul Perry Jr. and Karie Lynne Perry.
In 1980, Paul married Cindy Roe, and they welcomed their son William Ryan Perry into the world. Paul’s dedication to his family was matched by his commitment to his career. He began working for Ryder Transportation in 1967, where he advanced through various maintenance management positions until his retirement in 2012 due to health issues. Known for his quiet nature and strong work ethic, Paul made a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Paul is survived by his eldest brother James Lee Perry; his three children, Radoh Paul Perry Jr. (Jennipher), Karie Lynne Perry Warden, and William Ryan Perry (CamRae); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary Ann Perry, Judy Roberson, Jerry Lou Campbell, Gloria Schroeder, Laura Ragan, Robert L. Perry, and his granddaughter Katie Cash.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all his caregivers at The Stayton in Fort Worth, Texas, for their dedicated care over the past eight years and to Valor Hospice Care for their support in recent months.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Sterling Funeral Home 1201 South Main Street Anahuac, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Paul’s memory.
