El Burrito in Cleveland is opening its doors to anyone in need of a Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 28.
From 4 to 7 p.m., the restaurant, located at 422 W. Southline St., will serve a buffet-style dinner featuring a mix of Tex-Mex favorites alongside traditional Thanksgiving dishes like ham, mac and cheese, stuffing, and other hearty options.
The event marks a return to a beloved community tradition that was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s something we used to do before COVID. We used to be more involved in the community, and then after COVID, it felt like everyone was just trying to survive,” said Wendy Medina, wife of owner Joe Medina. “Nobody should go without a Thanksgiving meal. You can be the richest person in the community and still come join us. If you don’t have a family to share a meal with, we will be your family for the day.”
Everyone is welcome to attend, whether in need of a meal or simply looking for a sense of community this holiday season.
While the Cleveland location is participating in this effort, the Liberty El Burrito location will not be hosting a holiday meal due to staff limitations on Thanksgiving Day.

What a wonderful thing to do. With hard times, many wouldn’t have even a sandwich. I don’t live in Cleveland. But would like to give El Burrito a big THANK YOU and GOD BLESS your Kindness!!!
