The Liberty County District Attorney’s Office is honored to present the Fourth Annual “Tree of Angels,” a heartfelt tradition that pays tribute to victims of violent crimes, veterans, military members, and first responders. This event invites the community to come together in remembrance and support.

Starting on Dec. 2, 2024, survivors, families, and friends are encouraged to bring a special ornament to place on the angel tree. Participants may personalize their ornaments with the names of loved ones, creating a meaningful tribute to those who have touched their lives.

Please note that ornaments will not be returned. The District Attorney’s Office will keep all ornaments and display them on the tree each year. As a result, please ensure that your ornament is not of sentimental value.

The angel tree will be displayed on the first floor of the Liberty County Courthouse at 1923 Sam Houston Street, Liberty, Texas, and can be visited Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to decorating the tree, the District Attorney’s Office invites the community to a cookie reception on Dec. 12, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The cookie reception offers an opportunity to celebrate the season, reflect on the impact of this tradition, and honor those who serve or have been affected by acts of violence.

The Liberty County District Attorney’s Office hopes to see the community join in this event. For more information, please contact the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office.
