Deborah Jean McConahy, 66, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on Jan. 10, 2025, at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center. She was born Sept. 9, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter of the late Raymond N Blok and Phyllis A (Schlump) Sotieber. She married Ronald M. McConahy on Sept. 13, 2014, and they spent the next 10 years happily married until his passing on June 4, 2022.
She was a graduate of Crockett High School, and was employed as an executive assistant at East Manufacturing for about 15 years. After retiring, she spent her time shopping for a good deal, bedazzling and glittering everything, but most of all she cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and family. Deborah was a member of the Austintown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jeremy M. (Shannon) Garner of Westerville, Ohio; Alisha Nicole (Jason) Wyllie of Austintown, Ohio; Chris N. (Sara) Ozenghar of Howland, Ohio; mother, Phyllis A. Sotieber of British Columbia, Calif.; brother, Stephen (Laurie) Blok of Austin, Texas; sister, Kimberly Peters of Cleveland, Texas; twin brother, David (Deanna) Blok of Silsbee, Texas; brother, Michael (Leann) Blok of Berryville, Ark.; brother, Mark (Joanne) Blok of Elgin, Texas; as well as six grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Madeline, Alexis, David and Noah and also over 40 nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond N Blok, husband, Ronald McConahy.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. Carl W. Hall Funeral Home is honored to assist with these arrangements.
