It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Lum, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, on Jan. 23, 2025, in Humble, Texas. Elizabeth Dianne Lum was born on Dec. 25, 1946, in Houston, Texas to parents John Calvin Penney Jr. and Eva Bell Drake Penney.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, John Calvin Penney Jr. and Eva Bell Penney; as well as her grandparents who raised her (momma and daddy), DeWitt Drake and Sallie Belle Drake.
She is survived by a large and loving family, including her beloved husband Rufus Gerald Lum; daughters, Candice Stubblefield and husband Lorre, Tracey Bowman and husband Joe; foster sister, Edwina Green and husband Dusty; grandchildren Chris Cooksey, Casey Cooksey, Kelton Stubblefield, Lakin Cameron, Aniston Stubblefield, Steven Burt, Cristina Burt; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A visitation for Dianne will be held at the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 2 pm. Her funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas, with Jerry Matthews officiating. Dianne will be laid to rest at Lum’s Garden of Memories. Pallbearers for the service will be Chris Cooksey, Kelton Stubblefield, Kyle Cameron, Anthony Rizzotto, Charles Lum, Steven Burt. Honorary Pallbearers are Ian Burt, Neil Lum, and Ray Baxley.
