Robert “Popcorn” Dean Corn, 76, of Dayton, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at his residence.
Robert was born April 28, 1948, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, a former resident of Greenville, South Carolina, and has resided in Dayton for the past two years.
He was a graduate of East Henderson High School, Hendersonville North Carolina received an associate degree from Greenville Technical College and was a veteran of the US Navy. Robert served two tours of duty with VAW 112 and VAW 115 on the USS Enterprise and USS Midway. Robert’s professional career centered around his love for music and playing the steel guitar as well as playing golf.
Mr. Corn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter: Candice “Candi” Carden and husband Billy, brother: Ricky Corn, grandson: Anthony Carden, numerous other relatives, and friends.
