With the recent expansion of its service area to include both Dayton and Liberty, the Dayton Chamber of Commerce is seeking the public’s help in selecting a new name that better reflects its broader mission in South Liberty County.

As the official chamber representing the business community across all of southern Liberty County, Chamber officials say it is time for a name that is more inclusive and indicative of its new role in regional business development.

“We want you, the community, to choose our new name. So, here’s your chance to be a part of history! Submit your new name suggestion for the Dayton Chamber of Commerce by clicking the link below,” the Chamber stated in a news release.

The only requirement: the new name must not include the words “Dayton” or “Liberty.” Beyond that, creativity is encouraged.

Submissions will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, using an online form: https://forms.gle/mgjTdvJDSFAMEdio9.

The Chamber reserves the right to disregard any or all suggestions and may restart the process at its discretion. Late submissions will not be considered.

For more information, contact the Chamber at 936-257-2393 (Dayton office) or 936-334-7317 (Liberty office).

  1. Why not collaborate with Cleveland and make this a chamber for all of Liberty County. Don’t forget those in the north.

  2. How about the Not Dayton Not Liberty Chamber of Commerce? No wait, that contains the words “Dayton” and “Liberty.” But a slight spelling change would meet the requirements. Like Daytown and Liburty Chamber of Commerce. Kinda catchy huh? I like it!
