Raymond E. Fowler Sr.

Raymond E. Fowler Sr. was born on Dec. 16, 1949, in Silsbee, Texas, to the late Raymond and Larene Fowler of Honey Island, Texas. He passed away April 5, 2025, peacefully with family by his side.

He leaves behind daughters Becky Sangwin and Husband James Sangwin of Saratoga, Texas, Casey Garb and husband James Garb of Jasper, Texas, Kim Creel and Husband Randy Creel of Warren, Texas, and Beverly Cartlidge of Silsbee, Texas; son Raymond Fowler, Jr. and wife Christina Fowler of Saratoga, Texas, nine grandkids and three great-grandkids and brother Robert Fowler of Thicket, Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Brenda Fowler, grandson James Sangwin Jr., great-grandson Welton James Sangwin, brother Shorty Fowler and Gary “Cooter Bill”  Fowler.

Host of Nieces, Nephews and Family. He will be missed by many.

He was a retired oilfield and Logger worker for many years. He loved to fish, hunt and just be out in the plain outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved to sing to them and tell them stories. He will be laid to rest at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.

Honoring him as Pallbearers are Felchia Gibson, Travis Sangwin, Christopher Fowler, Eli Fowler, A.J Cartlidge and Jacoby Cartlidge.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roadside Church in Saratoga, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Roadside Church in Saratoga with Pastor Nathan Hendrix and Pastor Adell Walters officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, Texas. 

Honorary Pallbearers are Brianna Gibson, Jillian Gibson, Shawnea Carver, Abbie Cartlidge, Lonnie Carver, Gerald Ener, Hudie Ener, Wyley Ener and David Freeman.
