John David Dettenhaim, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Palestine, Texas on April 16, 2025. John was born to parents John Audrey Dettenhaim and Marie Senn in El Dorado, Ark., on May 25, 1946.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John Audrey Dettenhaim and Marie Senn; daughter, April Dettenhaim.He is survived by his son, John Dettenhaim II and wife Lori; step-daughter, Shelly Hewett and partner Joe; grandchildren, Johnathan Dettenhaim, Justin Dettenhaim, Jaiden Brownlow, Hailey Dettenhaim, Lori Lynn Burke, Patricia Burke, Jason Norsworthy, Jimmy Norsworthy; brothers, Larry Anderson, Bobby Dettenhaim; sisters, Jennie Dettenhaim, Peggie Sanderson, Dianne Sistrunk, Betty Boye.
A visitation for John will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas.
